Carey Hamblett has worked extensively across the arts, film and television beginning her career in theatre costume/decor design. Working closely with director and cast she developed a passion for narrative and character. She entered the broadcast industry in BBC scripting moving into production management for independent companies on high profile music and children’s programs. Commitment to the environment led to directing the Eco Rock concert distributed w/wide. She subsequently headed the development department of a London company nurturing a slate of drama and factual projects. She has scripted and produced youth drama for Channel 4 and been a consultant on projects across most genres. She has lectured in cinema studies in London colleges and at Brighton Film School. Output includes short films, character design and visual arts with multi-media LA Edge and artworks exhibited in London and LA.

Raised in the shires of England and on the California coast, educated at Dunhurst, Bedales Preparatory School, the family moved to Santa Monica when her father was the foremost Hollywood correspondent for the British press. She trained in Fine Art & Theatre Design at Wimbledon College for the Arts with post-graduate studies at the London Film School.
